Assistant Retail Store Manager - Malibu, CA

Catch Surf is looking to add a full-time Assistant Retail Store Manager to the team at our new store in Malibu, California!

An Assistant Retail Store Manger is a key-holding/leadership position within the store; not only will you be the face of the brand and directly interacting with customers, but you are also responsible for maintaining store operations, training/developing associates, and you are the acting manager on duty (MOD) when alone in the store. You are responsible for driving results within the store and maximizing staff sales/operational performance. You are a direct report to the Store Manager.


  • Attracts, trains, and develops top talented individuals to represent Catch Surf
  • Utilizes best judgment in all customer service matters by putting the customer’s needs first
  • Develops and maintain store standards and day to day operations
  • Keeps an awareness for security and loss prevention issues at all times
  • Recruits candidates for job openings with reflect to company standard
  • Coaches retail team on sales techniques, product knowledge and operational duties

Key Qualifications

  • Management experience in a retail or sales setting
  • Team player with customer-first attitude
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communicator with keen social awareness/social intelligence
  • Acute attention to detail and merchandizing standards
  • Must be able to work weekends
