Surf it with or without fins, bodyboard or skim it; do whatever the heck you want. The Beater will turn an average beach day into an Epic Tale of Radness!

Features a strong, light-weight and water-resistant core with dual (x2) maple-ply wood stringers and high density bottom to make it the stiffest most durable Beater ever made! Available in all-new colors. Twin-fin comes with 3.5" keel fins.

NOTE: Twin fin model can be converted to finless by purchasing two (2) additional Beater finless conversion kits in our Boards/Accessories section.

Exactly how do you remove the fins off the OG 54 beater ? I’ll get the conversion kit but I don’t know how to remove the old fins. Do I just pop them off ? Pull them off ? I don’t think they screw off. Thanks !

Will the board get waterlogged if I ride it finless without the finless conversion kit?
Hello! No! We use a closed cell foam to avoid water absorption! There are two maple stringers running through the board, wood does absorb water so that's the only risk you run surfing the board without the fins! Happy shredding!
My 5 year old is body boarding and I'm looking for a board to transition him to stand up surfing. Is this a good board for that or should I look at another style board. I want something he can paddle and eventually pop up on.
