MAGNUM SIZED PERFORMANCE IN A COMPACT PACKAGE!

The 54 Special has all the magical Catch Surf® DNA packed tight into one high-caliber ripping board. This pint-sized shred stick is the love child of the Beater® Original 54 and the Odysea® Stump; making it a snub-nosed section killer. Blast an air or pack a pit, the 54 Special has you covered!

The 54 Special has a deep entry concave and vee out the tail; creating a nicely rockered rail with a flat center line. This provides excellent speed down the line, but super-responsive turning once the rail is engaged. The 54 Special is a step forward in design and performance that pushes the boundaries of what is possible on a soft surfboard. Big things do come in small packages.

Q&A

hi! i'm 5'4" 121 lbs, longboard intermediate but first time trying a shortboard. would this one work for me?
Hi Kimmy! I would go for something with a little bit more size! Check out our 5'6 Skipper, 5'8 Retro Fish or our 6'0 Skipper! Happy shredding!
Hello, I’m 144 pounds and I surfed for about 5 years with a 5’10 x 18 x 2 board, biggest swell I went in was like 6 ft but I looked bigger than that. Do you think this board would suit me?
Ricardo! You could totally ride the 54 Special but it's going to be a struggle at times to catch waves due to its size. You might have more fun on something with more float, check out the 5'6 Skipper, RNF 5'11 or the 6'0 Skipper! All three of those boards rule! Happy shredding!
Does this board ride well finless?
Hello! Some customers have stated it's a great skimboard/finless surfboard. Obviously the intended use is with fins but you can have fun surfing it both ways! Happy shredding!
Hi, I don't know which board to buy, I like the 54 special but I don't know if it's too short, I've been surf for 15 years and the measurements of my current board are: length: 5´9 width 19.25 thick: 2.25 volume 26.3L and my last question is the board comes with fins? I am going to bring the board to Peru and I would like to know how much it weighs when it is packed. Thanks Andrea
Andrea! Based off the information you have provided me, you should be able to shred the 54 Special! If you would like to play it on the safe side, the 5'0 Stump would be another great option! Happy shredding!
I'm 5' 11" 200 LBs . intermediate looking for a higher performance board to rip on. Should I get the 54 or the 5' . I do like that you can skim with the 54" but am concerned I'm too heavy to catch waves with it.
Hello! For your size and weight go with the 5'0 STUMP! You'll have a blast on it! Happy shredding!
