"I love this board, and it rides great. However, if you're a beginner, this is not the board for you. You're going to struggle to paddle in and pop up on this board. Please get something like the 8' easy rider. Once you get confident on that, work down to a 7' easy rider, then a 6' tri fin. It takes time to be ready for the retro fish. Just be aware. Once you get good enough to pop up consistently, this board is a dream. Just know that it's going to be hard if you're a beginner, and you'll miss LOTS of waves that you'd easy be catching on an 8' board."
